I’m looking for a creative partner!
Soooooo I was previously working with my brother, but he has a pretty grueling work schedule outside the games industry, and so I’ve been working solo for a bit. But I really miss having another person to collaborate with! So I’m taking a leap and seeing if anyone’s interested in partnering up!
A little about me: I’m a UE4/UE5 generalist, working as a technical artist at Heart Machine. I love games with stylized art directions, systemic design, procedural bits, and stuff that is naturally fun and replay-able! My main side-project is Snaccoon, a stealth/exploration game starring a raccoon.
I’m comfortable & happy doing:
Design
Gameplay/Systems Programming (BP)
Tools Programming (BP/Python)
Modeling
Texturing
Materials
Tech Art
VFX
UI
Skills I fall short on that are a plus (but not a requirement):
C++ Programming
Concept Art
Character Art
Animation/Rigging
Audio
Writing (Narrative/Dialogue)
Soundtrack
Some of my favorite games are:
Shadow of the Colossus
Don't Starve Together
Fallout 3/NV
Skyrim
Rust
Firewatch
The Long Dark
Apex Legends
Bioshock
Skate
I have a family and a full time job, so my pace is very slow and relaxed. I like to have side projects to work on simply because I like to stay busy, but I make sure to position myself so that my personal work doesn’t constrain other parts of my life, and I would not at all expect any potential partner(s) to commit to our project(s) in ways that would compromise their availability in other, more important things in their life.
This is NOT a hiring notice/job opening for Snaccoon or any other project; I can't pay myself or anyone else, and even if I could afford to, I'm not pursuing an employer-employee relationship, as that level of commitment would interfere with my other responsibilities, and nothing I'm working on has any set deadlines/due-dates. What I'm hoping to find is the start of a creative partnership with someone like-minded in the indie-dev community, which is hard for me to do through IRL networking events due to the distance I'd need to travel/money I'd need to spend/time I'd need to invest in order to attend them, etc.
If you’re interested, fill out the survey below & I'll get in touch with you! I’m looking for someone who’s nice, ideally multi-disciplined (specialists aren't ruled out though!) and open to a slow, independent, long-term development schedule. I have a couple project ideas and prototypes and am interested in/open to new ideas!
